Mini-Office: 5 Themes of Geography

I'm going to be helping teach a Geography co-op class soon, and the 5 Themes of Geography is something we will be teaching the kids. I'd never actually heard these items compiled into one list - homeschooling really is just as good for the parents as it is for the kids!

Notebooking page/mini-office - Adam's family tree

Here is a landscape page for the beginning of Adam's family tree, as found in chapters 4 and 5 of Genesis. There is room for Abel, Cain and Seth, along with the first few decendents of Cain and Seth. There is a blank area under the space for Abel; you can use this to have your student make a note of what happened to Abel and the scripture reference, to remember why Abel has no recorded lineage. The three small spaces are for Jabal, Jubal and Tubal-Cain, the decendents of Cain.

Notebooking "mini-office" pages - Skeletal system

Here are three pages that can be used in your science notebooks for a reference page about the skeletal system. There are two full-page views of the skeleton, one frontal, one posterior, with one page having both views on the same page. There is plenty of blank space around them for you or your student to label the parts that you need to remember.

**Full skelton, frontal view only**

**Full skeleton, back view only**

**Full skeleton, both views on one page**

Notebooking "mini-offices" - Multiplication pages

It's only recently that I learned about the concept of "mini-offices" for students. Basically, they are very similar to lapbooks, but are filled with reference materials that students will need for various subjects. For young readers and spellers, for instance, you may have a folder filled with sections about letter sounds, consonant blends, special sounds, spelling rules and more. A chemisty mini-office might be filled with the periodic table, the states of matter, basic elemental combinations and so on. These are intended for the student to use as needed for quick reference while working independently. You can find some examples of mini-offices here and here.

I think it's a marvelous idea! Since this is a notebooking site, however, I decided to create some pages that can go in a notebook to go along with your child's work. I'll create some that are already filled out, and others that need to be filled in by the student before inclusion in the notebook. The latter idea is best for most students, as it helps cement the knowledge in their minds, but you may choose totally pre-printed pages for your own reasons.

Without further ado, here are my first "mini-office" notebooking pages. I hope you enjoy them!

**Multiplication Table - filled table with some basic multiplication rules printed on the page**

**Multiplication Table - filled table with lines at the bottom of the page to be filled with your own notes**

**Multiplication Table - blank table to be filled in by the student, with blank lines at the bottom of the page**
